Frequently Asked Questions about Auto Glass
Service & Process
My window leaks, can you fix it?
A leaking window is usually caused by worn out, damaged, or poorly sealed moulding. It is possible to repair but we must inspect it first to determine the cause and how to best fix it.
Do you repair or replace moulding?
Yes, we can replace moulding if needed. However, removing old moulding often puts stress on the glass, and despite our best efforts, it can sometimes cause the glass to crack or break. If that happens, the windshield must be replaced, which adds to the cost. We’ll always explain your options up front so you can make the best decision.
My window won’t roll up or down. Can you help?
Yes. Power window regulators and motors wear out over time. We can diagnose the issue and repair or replace the parts.
My rearview mirror fell off. Can you fix it?
Yes, we can reattach or replace your mirror using the correct adhesive for a safe and lasting repair.
Can you fix a crack in my windshield?
Small chips and cracks can often be repaired. If the damage is large, in your line of sight, or spreading, a full replacement is recommended.
Will the crack disappear completely after repair?
The repair restores strength, but a faint mark may remain. It will be far less noticeable and prevent the crack from spreading.
Can you polish scratches out of glass?
We do not offer a polishing service.
Can you match my tinted windows?
We can replace glass and match your factory tint. For after market tints you should have the original tinter re-tint your glass after replacement.
Do you replace sunroofs or moonroofs?
Yes, we handle all types of auto glass, including sunroofs and panoramic roofs.
Do I need maintenance after replacement?
Aside from waiting the recommended time before washing your car, no ongoing maintenance is required.
Cost & Insurance
Is windshield repair or replacement covered by insurance?
Many policies cover auto glass repair or replacement. You should check with your provider to find out your deductible.
Keep in mind, though, insurance claims can delay the process since we can’t begin work until your provider approves it, which may take several days. If the damage creates a safety issue, it’s usually much faster to pay up front, have the repair done right away, and then seek reimbursement from your insurance.
How does insurance work for auto glass?
Simply provide us your insurance info. We’ll coordinate with your provider and schedule your repair or replacement.
Will I ever pay more than my deductible if I use insurance?
No. If we accept your insurance, you’ll only ever pay your deductible. However, if the insurance company’s payment plus your deductible together add up to much less than our retail price, we may not be able to accept the claim. In that case, you always have the option to pay our cash price instead. We’ll explain your options clearly before any work is done so there are no surprises.
What if I don’t want to go through insurance?
We provide upfront pricing and competitive rates. A repair is usually much cheaper than a replacement.
Do you offer discounts?
Our prices are already extremely competitive and we occasionally provide special offers. Ask us about current promotions.
